![]() Is my reputation theory right? I really like the idea of grinding rep through water rituals and quests to potentially proselytize a good target. Other people report being unable to proselytize anything, no matter how much ego they have. However, I can't proselytize anything else. My character has pretty high rep with tortoises (of all things) and I seem to be able to proselytize tortoises on every attempt. Intuitively, based on other people's accounts and my own experience, it really seems like proselytize is buffed by good reputation. Most things you can actually use it on are far weaker than you, just by virtue of how enemies are designed. To use it, you have to have enough Ego to succeed a MA attack (not that hard to be fair) and be willing to get in melee range of something. 4 months ago 18 Rad roguelike Caves Of Qud has added friendlier modes. It works on nearly anything of lower level than you, including creatures with no obvious way to communicate but a very high Ego is needed to use it successfully. The build I run that seems to work is: Max ego + willpower, rest in toughness. Some creatures (hermits mostly) have electric/flaming/freezing weapons and those have a decent chance of having a power cell in them. ![]() While dominating a creature, the player can. Domination grants the 'Dominate Creature' ability, which, when used on a creature within one tile of the player, causes the player to assume complete control of them. ![]() Honestly, the best way to find power cells for me is to just mess around bellow joppa or in ruins. Domination is a mental mutation that allows the player to take control of another creatures body. The wiki says this: "Converts someone into an ally. You can indeed craft power cells, but you have to be lucky to find the datadisk. I've tried searching Steam and Reddit, and I can't find any answers. ![]()
